Hanus Named Academic All-American

Congratulations to Xedge athlete & Premier 18 Gold’s libero, Andie Hanus who was named to the 2015 High School Academic All-American team. Hanus was one of just eight Class of 2016 volleyball athletes in the nation to receive First Team recognition!

Congratulations Andie, your #teamXedge family is proud!

Below is what PrepVolleyball had to say about Hanus and why she was selected:

Volleyball players, as a whole, are a talented lot who excel both on the court and in the classroom. Here are the best of the best at combining big brains and athletic brawn, our 2015 High School Volleyball Academic All American list.

Andie Hanus, 5-9 DS, Marian (Omaha, Nebraska) – Part of a ridiculously good defensive duo for the nationally-ranked Crusaders, is it any wonder they won three straight Nebraska Class A titles? Hanus, who will play at Missouri, was HM All-State in 2015 after recording 298 digs and 55 aces. In the classroom, Hanus is a superstar, ranking in the top eight percent of her class with a 4.27 GPA. She is a National Merit Commended Student and a Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalist in Nebraska who scored 35 on her ACT. She is a math tutor, an officer in Rho Kappa Honor Society, a member of NHS and is on the Student Board at Marian High. Plan on calling her “Dr. Andie” in the near future, as she’ll be Pre-Med at Missouri.
